BRVNOV Returns to DOC Records with Introspective ‘Hourglass’ EP

Brazilian producer and multi-instrumentalist BRVNOV makes a powerful return to Gui Boratto’s DOC Records with ‘Hourglass’, a contemplative two-track EP that dives deep into cinematic textures, melodic storytelling, and emotional depth.

Following his 2024 single ‘Bloom’, BRVNOV now shifts his focus inward. The Hourglass EP, released on April 18th, marks a new chapter in his sound—one that balances complexity with clarity, introspection with groove.

A Meditation on Time

Time is not linear—it expands, bends, and evaporates through emotion and memory. BRVNOV’s Hourglass embraces this idea fully.

The title track ‘Hourglass’ opens with a gentle breakbeat pulse. Layers of ethereal synths and melodic textures unfold slowly, creating a dreamlike atmosphere. The rhythms are subtle yet intricate, inviting listeners into a state of flow—somewhere between presence and nostalgia.

On the B-side, ‘Lucky Star’ takes on a slower, more intimate tone. Built around delicate chords and ambient nuances, the track feels like a personal tribute. It’s cinematic in scope but deeply personal in emotion. BRVNOV channels grief, gratitude, and memory through a sophisticated downtempo arrangement.

An Artist in Evolution

BRVNOV’s background is as rich as his sound. Influenced by legends such as Sasha, Chicane, Underworld, and label founder Gui Boratto, his music bridges progressive house, ambient techno, and experimental electronica.

Yet his work resists easy classification. With Hourglass, he steps beyond genre—crafting sonic narratives that feel deeply human. It’s music for reflection, for late-night drives, or early-morning walks.

BRVNOV isn’t just a producer—he’s a musical storyteller, a self-made entrepreneur, and a visionary artist who refuses to be boxed in. Hourglass proves his ability to translate feeling into sound, capturing the impermanence of time in a way that’s both universal and uniquely his.

Out Now on DOC Records

Released on April 18 via DOC Records, the Hourglass EP continues the label’s tradition of elevating forward-thinking, emotionally rich electronic music. With this release, BRVNOV solidifies his place among the most exciting and reflective voices in the Brazilian electronic scene.
