Joyce Muniz Unleashes Lo-Fi Afro-Italo Club Anthem “Mo Dupe” on Exploited

Vienna-based DJ and producer Joyce Muniz is back with a hypnotic new single, “Mo Dupe”, released via the Berlin imprint Exploited. This genre-blending Afro-Italo track fuses lo-fi house elements with traditional Nigerian ritual vocals, delivering a unique and spiritual club experience.

Muniz, born in Brazil and based in Vienna, is known for her global sound. She’s a longtime FM4 resident and a mainstay in Europe’s underground scene.

Ritual Meets RhythmMo Dupe” is raw and spiritual. The title means “I Give Thanks” in Yoruba. The song samples vocals from a Nigerian ceremony. That ritual pays tribute to Oxum, the goddess of abundance and femininity.

Muniz leaves the vocals untouched. They float over a rough, lo-fi base. Bit-crushed drums thump underneath. A thick, rolling bassline drives the groove.
Fuzzy synths shimmer in the background. The mood is hypnotic. Mysterious. Trance-like. Yet it’s dancefloor-ready.

A Sound with Global Roots

This release follows her 2024 Kompakt single “Beats & Lines” with Sara Bluma. But “Mo Dupe” dives deeper. It’s a darker, more percussive sound. Muniz fuses her Afro-Latin roots with a love for Italo and deep house.

The track carries emotion. It’s gritty but soulful. Spiritual but functional. She balances tradition and modernity. It’s a track you feel in your body—and your spirit.

Massive DJ Support Already Rolling In

“Mo Dupe” is already making waves. Arthur Baker, Sasha, Just Her, Deer Jade, and Adriatique have all dropped the track in recent sets. That’s big. These artists span house, techno, and deep melodic scenes. It shows the track’s wide appeal.

Support like that proves Muniz is on fire. She’s not chasing trends. She’s shaping them.

A Voice That Cuts Through

With every release, Joyce Muniz reinforces her place in the global club scene. Her sound is fearless. She moves between genres with ease. From lo-fi house to techno and back to Afro grooves—she’s always a step ahead.

Mo Dupe” is a statement. It’s raw. It’s real.
