Italian producer Lorenzo Morresi releases his latest EP ‘Nonsense’ on his new label Minus Me Plus World. The record blends electro-samba, vintage synths, and analog experimentation.

Italian producer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist Lorenzo Morresi steps into a new era with the release of ‘Nonsense’, a striking new EP that marks the launch of his own label, Minus Me Plus World.
Known for his genre-defying approach and analog flair, Morresi delivers an eclectic, high-concept record that draws from global rhythms, retro synth culture, and his signature blend of live instrumentation with experimental electronics.
A Journey Through Rhythm and Retro-Futurism
The EP opens with the infectious ‘Tucu Taca’, a vibrant track driven by whispered vocal mantras, syncopated samba percussion, and Brazilian timbals.
The result is an electro-acoustic workout bursting with groove and tribal energy—a perfect example of Morresi’s rhythm-forward approach.
Following that, ‘Giungla’ explores a darker, more abstract dimension. The track layers distorted drums, glitch textures, and AI-generated voices, creating an eerie soundscape that feels both futuristic and primal.
The title track ‘Nonsense’ stands as a heartfelt tribute to the history of Italian electronic music.
Recorded inside the Museo del Synth Marchigiano, it features the use of ultra-rare gear, including the legendary Synket—widely considered the world’s first portable synthesizer, dating back to 1963.
The analog warmth of these machines adds a rich, textural quality that modern plugins simply can’t replicate.
Remix by Francisco and New Label Vision
Closing the EP is a remix by Italian artist Francisco, who flips ‘Nonsense’ into a driving electroclash banger. With hints of Italo-disco and warehouse vibes, it offers a dancefloor-ready contrast to the introspective original.
The EP is the first release from Morresi’s new imprint, Minus Me Plus World, a platform he describes as “a space for musical freedom and global experimentation.”
It reflects his vision of genre-fluid creativity, blending digital innovation with the rawness of analog.
From Italy to the Global Underground
Morresi continues to bridge cultures and eras through his music—whether he’s in the studio with vintage gear or on stage weaving live instruments into DJ sets.
With ‘Nonsense’, he proves again why he’s one of the most exciting artists at the intersection of club music and sonic exploration.
