“Tomorrowland Lands in Shanghai — And What Happened Inside the Hero Dome Shocked Everyone”

Tomorrowland unleashed an electrifying indoor debut in Shanghai’s Hero Dome, blending global stars, Chinese talent, and breathtaking production for over 10,000 fans. A new era of festival culture has arrived in China.

Shanghai has seen big events — but nothing like this.

This weekend, Tomorrowland made history with its first-ever indoor edition in China, transforming the brand-new Hero Dome into a futuristic playground of music, culture, fashion, food, and cutting-edge technology. The moment fans stepped inside, it was clear: Shanghai wasn’t just hosting a festival — it was hosting a global milestone.

The Hero Dome, a massive 100m x 120m arena, became a living organism pulsing with lights, lasers, and world-class sound. Across two explosive days, more than 10,000 fans were swept into Tomorrowland’s signature fantasy world — now reimagined indoors with breathtaking precision.

A Fusion of Worlds: Global Icons × Chinese Superstars

From the opening minute, Tomorrowland celebrated Shanghai’s creative energy.
Dimitri Vegas delivered a high-voltage closing set on day one, but the arena truly erupted when Chinese megastar Masiwei stormed the stage in a surprise crossover moment that sent shockwaves through the crowd.

Inside the Budweiser Hall, Chris Lorenzo brought raw UK energy, while DubVision, Matisse & Sadko, and Third Party united for an ultra-rare b3b, creating a moment fans will talk about for years.
Local heroes Tiger Drama, DJ Sally, and Halo kept Shanghai’s heartbeat alive, proving the city’s scene is stronger than ever.

Unpredictable, Unforgettable, Unstoppable

Tomorrowland built its reputation on surprise — and Shanghai got the full treatment.

Amber Broos and Chinese techno innovator Meguru unleashed a lightning-fast techno session. Henri PFR softened the mood with shimmering melodic warmth.
Then Don Diablo dialed the energy into overdrive — and shocked fans again when rapper GALI appeared for a live collaboration that felt like a cultural collision of the highest order.

In another arena, Amelie Lens plunged the night into darker territory with her signature hard-edged sound, shaking the room to its core.

Moments That Took Over the Night

The second day escalated even further.
Andromedik blasted the crowd with high-octane drum & bass, and Apashe delivered a dramatic, cinematic performance powered by brass, bass, and pure theatre.

Meanwhile, Tomorrowland’s production proved unmatched.
From the storybook wonder of the Paperworld Stage to the glowing elegance of the Butterfly Stage, every structure was built by Shanghai creators under the guidance of the Belgian–Dutch team — a powerful fusion of global vision and local craftsmanship.

A New Era for Tomorrowland — And for China

By the end of the weekend, it was undeniable: Tomorrowland’s magic works anywhere — even indoors — and Shanghai embraced every second of it.

Shanghai welcomed us with open arms – the energy was unforgettable,” the Tomorrowland team shared.

If this first edition is any sign, Tomorrowland’s future in China is not just bright — it’s unstoppable.
