Matija is a multifaceted artist—often seen behind the mixing desk, but more frequently found deep in the studio, crafting his next sonic masterpiece late into the night. His latest work, “Midnight Hustle,” marks the second release on the Mindless Records label, showcasing his evolution as both a producer and a musical storyteller.
With over half of his life spent immersed in music, Xam’s foundation is rooted in the funky rhythms he cultivated as a teenager, playing drums and later exploring the bass guitar. Now, as a producer, he has cemented his place in the house music scene with a distinctive style that blends seductive grooves, vintage 70s synths, and a signature use of the vocoder, where Xam often weaves his own voice into the mix.
The three-track EP begins with “17C,” a track that encapsulates the late-night hustle and energy of the underground. The track’s steady, soothing vocals lead into a thrilling ride, propelled by acid lines that create an infectious energy, accompanied by lush melodies that set the stage for an unforgettable journey.
